Triple nominations at BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards

We are very excited to announce our three BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award nominations. Both The Shutdown and Fistful of Roses are competing in the Factual category and the “Stand Off” music video for Le Reno Amps is up for the music video award. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 19 March in Glasgow.

The Shutdown returns to the Netherlands in March for the Go Short Film Festival in Nijmegen.

Accidental Media presents a multimedia experience at the Bo’ness Hippodrome featuring Adam Stafford and Alan Bissett.

Novelist and playwright Alan Bissett (‘Boyracers’) will read from his latest novel.

Filmmaker and musician Adam Stafford (front man of the band ‘Y’All is Fantasy Island’) will follow up with a live music set.

The evening will conclude with screenings of a selection of short films the pair have collaborated on, including their award-winning short ‘The Shutdown’ - a beautifully shot documentary in which Alan recalls the intense experience of growing up next to the Grangemouth petrochemicl plant and the harrowing experience of an explosion that temporarily deformed his father. The event will be followed by a Question and Answer session.

Come along on Thursday 4th February at 8.00pm to the Hippodrome in Bo’ness, Central Scotland. Click here for venue details and listings.

“Tomorrow’s Fairground”, the short documentary produced by Andy Green and directed by Peter Gerard will be broadcast on BBC2 Scotland on 16 December at 23:20. The film was made for the Bridging the Gap scheme run by the Scottish Documentary Institute.
